6U Fastpitch Developmental Program

Organizational FAQ's
In what league does the Pumas Fastpitch participate?
The New Berlin Pumas 8U and above fastpitch teams register with the Wisconsin Fastpitch League and play a minimum of 4 tournaments. Tournaments are chosen by the coach based on multiple factors. You can learn more about the WFL by clicking HERE. For 6U coach-pitch development, the focus is in the name- development. There will be opportunities for basic scrimmage scenarios but, because there aren't many 6U fastpitch teams in our area, this will largely take place within the organization. Rest assured, your 6U daughter will be ready for competitive, select fastpitch competition by the time she hits 8U!
What are the Residency Requirements?
The Wisconsin Fastpitch League does not have residency requirements. However, we are a New Berlin based youth organization that exists to serve the youth of our local community. We require at least 6 of our players on each team to be New Berlin residents, or attend a New Berlin public or private school. Thus, roster spots are available on all teams for non-resident players.
What are the 2025 season age requirements?
Whatever the age on September 1st, 2024, is the age level assigned! To accommodate numbers, there is the flexibility to allow no more than 2 players, per team, be over the age cut-off. No team is allowed to have a player that is a full year or more over the age cut-off. This is a standard set by Pumas Fastpitch in an effort to build teams that can grow together.
What are the fees associated with the Pumas?
All fees/fundraising requirements, etc. are clearly outlined in the Player/Parent Agreement document. Acknowledgment of this document is required upon tryout registration. Please ensure you read this document thoroughly during the registration process it will provide a lot of answers for you! If clarification is needed for any reason, reach out to [email protected].

We have completed tryouts, now what?
The head coach or organization representative, for the team you are trying out for, will be in touch by phone or email within 72hrs of your tryout. You'll be notified of a decision either way. The coach or representative may also call or email to take another look at some players to fill final spots on the roster.
We made a team! What's next?
Once you have been offered a roster spot on a team, you'll be sent an invoice for a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your roster spot. This must be paid within 48 hours of receiving the invoice and can easily be paid online! If the deposit is not received, you may forfeit your roster spot. This $100 deposit will be applied to your registration fees. Invoices for the remainder of registration fees will be sent at a later date, with payment plan options available.
