When can my daughter start playing?
Girls born after September 1, 2020 are eligible to join our program. Age groups increase in 2-year increments starting at 8U. We have a 6U developmental program as well.
What is the 6U Developmental program?
We start teaching girls the fundamentals of fastpitch such as how to throw, hit, field, pitch and rules of the game. This prepares them for when they are old enough to start playing in games at the 8U level. We practice weekly from January through July. Every girl learns all aspects of the game in a fun and relaxed way where work with the girls that are able to make it each week.
We let parents know that we want their kids to participate in multiple activities so there is no
harm missing occasionally.
We practice indoors in the New Berlin Industrial Park January – April and then move
outdoors in the spring and summer. We end the year with a scrimmage and pizza party!
How much does it cost to be a Puma?
6U - $250
8U - $630
10U - $680
12U - $680
Costs include jerseys, league & tournament fees and team equipment.
Uniforms will be extra. Each team may also do individual fundraisers to help offset the cost of extra tournaments or experiences.
How many games will they play?
Starting at 8U the teams will play in the Wisconsin Softball League (WFL) where they will play a double header one night per week in June and July. In addition to league games, there will be some scrimmages and tournaments scheduled throughout the spring and summer.
8U will play about 3-5 tournaments per year and older teams will play a bit more. Each team will practice indoors in the winter and move to outdoors in the spring and summer with 1-2 practices per week.
Where are the games?
League Home games that are either at New Berlin West High School or a local park in New Berlin. League Away games are around the local area. Tournaments are scheduled by the coaches and will vary by location.
How do we join a team?
Our 6U developmental program is a first-come, first-served basis until we reach maximum capacity. Please fill out the Tryout registration form below to sign up. You can also email us at nbpumasfastpitch@gmail.com to sign up if needed.
